Norma knows first hand about the challenges of eye disease. In 2006, her oldest son was diagnosed with cone rod dystrophy, a progressive degenerative eye condition with no cure. At the same time, she lost her job. Norma turned to running, which changed her life. She has since run seven ultramarathons on seven continents to raise awareness of eye disease. Meet Norma at the Surgical Artistry Modesto Marathon Expo, March 17. She will be at the Teens Run Modesto booth during the day. Or join her in the marathon the next day, Sunday, March 18.
