Super Sunday Relay tie-dyed shirt

Back by popular demand—those great tie-dyed t-shirts. Co-race director John Souza shows off a shirt from the inaugural race. This year's shirt will still involve tie dye, but you have to register to find out what funky design will be featured. The shirts are hand-made, so each is unique. Don't wait. Shirts guaranteed only to those who pre-register by Jan. 20..

The Super Bowl
of Relays

Now in its fourth year, the Super Sunday Relay Run lets you form teams and compete against your friends, family or coworkers.

Each of the three members on the team walks or runs one 2-mile leg. If you don't have a team, then you can run the entire 6-mile course.

Course begins and ends at Davis Park, off Rumble and College Avenue. Course mostly is on pavement, but there's a small amount of dirt and grass.

There are several age and gender divisions, including one just for families.

So start rounding up two fellow walkers or runners to join in this event.

Form a team and challenge friends, co-workers or fellow runners to do the same. Boasting rights are always free.

And don't worry, you'll be home in plenty of time to prepare for the BIG GAME Sunday afternoon.

the late Doug BraaschIf you're wondering about the tie dye, it was a favorite of the late Doug Braasch.

A fixture at running events, Doug passed away from a heart attack in November 2009 while doing one of the things he loved best—running.

In keeping with Doug's wild and zany taste for clothes, the Super Sunday Relay Run features some equally wild and zany t-shirts.

No two are alike, either.

Pre-register by Jan. 20 to be guaranteed one of these collector-item t-shirts.
